Parasi, June 24: The All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) close to Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist has padlocked the District Education Office ( DEO) in Nawalparasi, saying the office failed to take action against those private schools operating illegally.
Some 60 private schools in the district are in operation illegally, Union district president Ashok Gyawali said.
Some of them have not taken license for running the upper classes while some of them have not been registered at the DEO, he said, adding that they decided to launch the agitation as the DEO did not feel it necessary to punish these schools.
The Union has demanded that the registration of the schools being operated illegally in the district be scrapped at the earliest. RSS
