Budget deficit for Bridge Construction in Kanchanpur

Belauri (Kanchanpur) June 25: The construction works of Padniya Bridge have been in limbo due to lack of budget since long, said the Kanchanpur District Development Office (DDC).

The development works in the district have remained incomplete and owing to political vulnerability and lack of budget.  In lack of political commitment for the development works even the allocated budget amount is also likely to be frozen, it is learnt.

Santosh Bhandari, Engineer at the District Technical Office, said that the construction works of suspension bridge at Khaniya River and Shanti River has been completed in this fiscal year and rest others are still incomplete for budget deficits. RSS
