Tanahun, June 18: The construction of Martyr Chandra Nepali Hostel based in Byas municipality-1, Bigyanchaur of Tanahun district has come to a complete halt due to budget deficit.
The hostel building being constructed on the premises of Adikabi Bhanubhakta Multiple Campus has not yet completed in lack of budget. It is learnt that the construction works had started since 2064 BS.
Though the target was to operate the hostel from this year, the construction works have not come to a complete shape due to lack of budget around Rs 500,000, said Chairperson of Hostel Construction Committee Dobate BK.
He informed that the cost estimated for the construction of two-storied RCC building was Rs 15 million.
They are compelled to halt the construction when the District Development Committee did not provide budget of Rs 175,000 it had allocated this year for the purpose.

The under-construction hostel has the capacity to accommodate 90 students including Dalit and non-Dalit, said Committee Secretary Kesh Bahadur Sunar. RSS
