CA election within fourth week of November: Dahal

Damak, June 12: Chairman of the UCPN(Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said that the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) would be held within the fourth week of November.

At a news conference organised at Lakhanpur of Jhapa district this morning, Dahal said that the government has made preparations to declare the date of CA election very soon.

Stating that the threshold of votes in CA election was not a compulsory precondition, he said the decision of the government not to include the provision of threshold of votes would be acceptable to his party.

Dahal argued that no one should distract the election in the name of threshold. 

Meanwhile, Dahal also visited the under-construction Indigenous Stadium and Memorial Academy at Lakhanpur-1.

On the occasion, the Academy also submitted a memo to Chairman Dahal to facilitate additional budget for the under construction Academy.

Chairman of the Academy, Nityananda Tajpuriya, urged Dahal to take initiative to allocate Rs. 100 million in the next budget.

Receiving the memo, Dahal assured of taking initiative to allocate budget for the construction of the stadium. RSS
