Committee Formed to Probe Rape Case

Birgunj (Parsa), June 23: The Narayani Zonal Police Office, Birgunj has formed a high-level committee to investigate into a rape case when it came to light that police forced the victim girl of Mungli VDC of Parsa to divert her explanation at the court to get the criminal scot free.

The probe committee includes Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSp) at Narayani Zonal Police Office, Birgunj Sandeep Singh Thapa as coordinator and Police Inspectors, Ramnath Ghimire and Bhadra Bahadur Mote, as members.

The committee has started its works since last Saturday, said Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP) at Zonal Police Office, Birgunj, Sarbendra Khanal.

Search for the criminal is on, said the District Police Office, Parsa.

The Committee will make public the report within a few days, said DSP Thapa. RSS
