Customs office opened

Janakpurdham, June 19: The area customs office at Katikataiya here has opened after remaining closed for a long time.

The local traders have been benefitted with the coming into operation of the area customs office at Katikataiya for they no longer have to go to other customs offices to pay customs duty while importing consumer goods of daily use from India.

The operation of the customs post became possible after the Armed Police Force (APF) set up its camp at Siswa Kataiya VDC, it is stated.

Three out of the six area customs posts in Mahottari district are in operation. They are Katikataiya, Samsi and Matihani customs offices. RSS
