Date expired medicines seized from Sarlahi

Sarlahi, June 16: A large quantity of different medicines that was date expired was found in Primary Health Centre, Lalbandi, Sarlahi district.
The seized medicines includes Vomex 6,000 tablets, clove oil 400 bottles, Uninorm 280, Metriz 710 bottles, and medicine of polio disease.
It was discovered when the management committee members of the Centre who were called for a meeting entered the medicine store of the Centre and checked, said Govinda Mahat, a member of the committee.
The committee member Mahat claimed that the large quantity of the date expired medicines remained in stock as the Doctor in the Centre prescribed the medicine from his private clinic.
Similarly, Kapildev Saha, storekeeper at the District Public Health Office, said the problem was followed as a result of the negligence from the doctors as
they prescribed the medicine of their medical shop instead of the medicine available at the Centre. RSS
