Kathmandu,
June 18: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba, and
Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, had a meeting today.
The
two leaders discussed contemporary political situation in the country and the
second election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) in the meeting.
During
the meeting held at Baidya's residence in Dhapasi today, NC senior leader Deuba
urged Baidya to participate in the CA election and to come to consensus by
holding talks on the contentious issues, said NC central member Bimalendra
Nidhi, who was present in the meeting.
Nidhi
quoted Deuba as saying in the meeting that now there was no possibility of changing
the incumbent government and proposed that consensus could be forged through
talks on other issues.
In
response, Baidya said that they would discuss in the party on the issue, said
Nidhi.
General
Secretary of the CPN-Maoist, Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) was also present in the
meeting.
