General Strike Cripples Life

Kirtipur, June 16: The general strike enforced by the political parties including CPN-Maoist today demanding the withdrawal of recently announced date for Constituent Assembly (CA) has crippled normal life in Kirtipur.
There are no vehicles plying on the raod in bazaar area since early this morning while the market area is also completely closed.

The shutdown enforcers have gathered in every thoroughfares to make their protest programme successful.

It has also affected teaching and learning in higher secondary schools and campuses here while people to and from Kirtipur are seen walking to reach their destination.

The general strike has also affected normal life in Biratnagar, Chitwan, Makawanpur and  Rasuwa, among other different parts of the country. RSS
