Chandranigahapur (Rautahat), June 18: A girl from Bhasedhawa-6 of Rautahat district died in attack by a herd of wild elephants here, last night.
The tuskers attacked and trampled to death 12-year-old Shanta Baitha, while she was sleeping at her home. The elephants also demolished houses of Mangal Baitha and Fajil Haque, said Govindaram Pariyar, Superintendent of Police.
Similarly, elephant had demolished house of Gangandev Mahara of Kanakpur VDC and three other houses of Bijay Chaudhary, Jitendra Mahato, Shobhilal Chaudhary, Laxminiya VDC in the district, a few days back.
