Hetauda decides to prohibit plastics in six months

Hetauda, June 13:  Hetauda Municipality has decided to prohibit the use of plastic bags and glasses in the town areas within six months.

At present, only the plastic bags have been prohibited in the local market.
 Consumers have been using white plastic bags while buying rice, flour, pulse, sugar and spices in the town now a days.

Homework is on for using standard cloth bags and jute bags as per the desires of the Hetauda people, said manager of the Town Development Division of the Municipality, BK Maharjan.

 More manpower has been mobilised for prohibiting plastic bags, glasses, and cups in Hetauda now after Churemai and Ratomate along East-West Highway, said Makwanpur CDO Narayan Aryal.

There is a danger of infection in consumers as plastics, glasses and cups are used in shops and hotels, Chief Doctor of Hetauda Hospital Dr. Hari Baral Khadka told .

  Even if prohibited in Hetauda, sending it to other districts is not stopped, said SP of Makwanpur Gupta Bahadur Shrestha. RSS
