High-level Political Committee meeting decides to hold talks with dissenting parties

Kathmandu, June 14: The High-level Political Committee has decided to hold talks with parties including the CPN-Maoist, which have dissent towards election to the Constituent Assembly (CA).
A meeting concluded a little while ago under the chairmanship of Coordinator of the Committee and Chairman of the CPN-UML, Jhalanath Khanal, decided to hold talks with the dissenting parties to bring them to participate in the CA election at any cost in the existing situation, said Member of the Committee, Raghuji Panta.
Panta said the meeting also urged the dissenting 42 political parties to participate in the CA election by keeping aside  all the differences as there was no alternative to go for CA election for the promulgation of a new constitution.
Welcoming the decision of the government to hold CA election on November 19, the meeting called all political parties to engage actively in election.
This meeting was the last one under the coordination of Chairman Khanal as per the system of taking leadership of the Committee turn by turn every month.
Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)-Democratic, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar will be the coordinator of the Committee from tomorrow. RSS
