Baglung, June 26: The number of injecting drug users (IDUs) has increased in Baglung district of late.
Doctors have said that with a growing number of youths using injections to take hard drugs, the contraction of HIV/AIDS has also increased.
According to the Jeevan Rehab Centre, a centre for the rehabilitation of drug addicts, people abusing hashish, brown sugar, marijuana and other hard drugs are taking to using injection these days.
Forty out of the 53 drug abusers receiving treatment at the centre are IDUs, it is stated.
This is the only rehabilitation centre in the entire Dhawalagiri Zone. RSS
