Minor dies in road mishap

Hetauda, June 24: A minor died in a road accident at Jyamire along the East-West Highway this afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as two-and-half year old Srijan Aryal, son of Sitaram Aryal of Manahari-7 in Makawanpur district, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

The accident took place when a truck (Na 2 Kha 9628) heading towards Hetauda from Narayangadh hit the child. The child died while undergoing treatment.Police have arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle.

Now, the family members and relatives of the deceased have obstructed the highway demanding compensation, said police. RSS
