Mahendranagar, June 18: Spokesperson of the Nepali Congress, Dilendra
Prasad Badu, has demanded swift relief to the people in the flood affected
areas in the Far-west region.
Speaking at a press conference
organized by the Nepal Press Union in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, today, Badu
said the government should take initiatives to provide relief to people in
flood affected area in a swift manner.
NC leader Badu expressed his sadness
over the massive flooding triggered by incessant rainfall for the last three
days in Kanchanpur district and said that the NC has been stunned by this. He
gave assurances of providing possible support to the flood victims on behalf
the party.
He urged the Nepal Army (NA), Nepal
Police, Armed Police Force, and the NC sister organizations, Nepal Student
Union and Nepal Tarun Dal to extend possible support to the people living in
the flood affected areas.
Badu, as a spokesperson of the NC,
has been taking necessary initiatives with the government for swift relief
distribution for flood victims. The Central Natural Disaster Relief Committee

Badu appealed to the government to
mobilize NA and police teams saying the relief distribution and rescue works
have been hampered by shortage of human resources.

infrastructures destroyed by the floods. RSS
