Organic Dam in Banke

Khajura (Banke), June 30: Locals of Banke district across the Rapti River have constructed organic dam to prevent possible flood and inundation.

The locals of Son Barsha, Matehiya, Gangapur, Holiya and Betahani have constructed the embankment to get saved from the swollen Rapti and Duduwa Rivers in the rainy season. The organic embankment was constructed utilizing local resources such as bamboo, sands and plastics. RSS
