Six Children Rescued from Jogbani Bazaar

Biratnagar, June 23:  Indian security police have rescued some six Nepali children from Jogbani checkpoint. The Indian police handed them over to Nepal police on Saturday.

The children were reportedly being taken to Hariyana, Gudgaun of India for the sole purpose of engaging them as bonded agricultural labourers.

The Indian police came to the rescue of innocent children when the former found after inquiry that the minors were being taken for wrong purpose.

Police said that Radheshyam Rishidev and Pillar Rishidev of Sunsari Sattejhuda-9 were taking the children to India for hard labour. Police have nabbed Radheshyam while his accomplice Pilar Dev is still at large, police said.

Among the children rescued were Chandan Kumar Rishidev, 12, Binod Rishidev, 14, Umesh Rishidev, 14, Shraban Rishidev, 10, Dilip Rishidev, 14 and Jiten Rishidev, 12, of Sattejhuda-9, Sunsari.

The children were handed over to their family members on the presence of local political leaders. RSS
