Khotang, June 25: The budget allocated for the road construction is likely to be frozen owing to sluggish performance of construction users' committee in Khotang.
Around Rs 15 million is on the verge of freezing since some 11 users committee in the district have not yet settled amount taken in advance and contract-signing for rest of the programme have not been made.
Of the 11 users' committee yet to settle the advance amount are nine users committee formed under the local transport infrastructure sector and two constituted under development programme based on people's participation.
Among the users' committee are of Rasuwaghat-Simpani-Khotang Bazaar road, Manmaya Rai Khanidanda airport, road linking to Diktel, Lamidanda-Aiselukharka road and Diktel-Pathe rural road.
Similarly, the users committee for the constructed of Chyandanda-Manebhanjyang-Chhitapokhari rural road, Diktel-Khotang Bazaar rural road Kulagain section, Dhamlang Chisapani rural road and Rasuwaghat-Thalechaur-Indranipokhari road section, said the District Development Committee, Khotang. RSS
