Kathmandu, June 16: The meeting of the High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) to be held here today was postponed due to the Nepal Banda general strike called by 42 parties including the Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist.
The meeting was stalled as holding meeting on a Banda day will not give a positive message, Personal Secretary of the MJF- Democratic Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Yagya Chaudhary told RSS.
Chairman Gachchhadar is making all out efforts to hold talks to bring the dissenting parties to election in the present context and he has made commitment to find solution through dialogue, said Chaudhary.
Gachchhadar is holding the chairmanship of the Committee from June 15 as per the cyclic system of chairing the meeting by four political forces.
The next meeting will be held at 8:00 am tomorrow. RSS
