June 10: Rural Development Tuki Association has launched an educational
campaign with the objective of enrolling all school-aged children in different
remote areas of the district.
As per the programme, coaching
classes have been conducted at 20 places in the district. Likewise, the
organization has provided school bags and uniform to some 475 students. The
campaign is launched with the objective of stopping school dropout rate and
uplifting educational status in the district, said Purushartha Shrestha,
executive director of the association.
The association has provided
educational materials and school uniform to the children of socially
marginalized dalit, ethnic communities and those with poor economic status,
said Damodar Timilsina, officer at the association.
With this initiative of the
association, school dropout rate has lessened in the area, said Keshav
Chapagain, Resource Person at the District Education Office.
The association has been launching
such programmes here in the district aimed at stopping school dropout rate
since two years. RSS
