Two die, seventeen injured in road accident in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur, June 14: Two persons died and 17 others were injured in a road accident near Bani Doda bridge in Kanchanpur district along the East-West Highway this morning.
The dead bodies have not been identified yet, police said. The condition of the three among the injured in the incident is critical, according to Kul Bahadur Saud, Sub-Inspector at Area Police Office, Krishnapur.
Fourteen among the injured are undergoing treatment in Padma Hospital at Attariya while critically injured three are undergoing treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital, Mahendranagar, said Sub Inspector Saud.
The bus (Na 3 Kha 1195) heading towards Dhangadhi from Mahendranagar met with an accident while the bus tried to save a pedestrian at around 10:45 am.
Meanwhile, in Mahottari, as many as nine persons were injured in two different road accidents at Bardibas and Belgachhi Chowk of Mahottari district, today.
Three persons were injured when a motorcycle met with an accident in Bardibas while six others were injured after a bus (Na 4 Kha 6846) bound for Siraha from Kathmandu lost balance due to over speed and overturned on the road at Belgachhi Chowk early morning today, said Tulasi Prasad Adhikari, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Area Police Office, Bardibas.
Seriously injured motorcycle driver of Bardibas- 8, Kishori Mahato has been sent to Dharan for further treatment, and two others are being treated at Hope Hospital at Bardibas. The bus driver and helper are absconding after the accident. RSS
