UCPN (Maoist) Chairman to contest CA election from Madhesh

Biratnagar, June 18: Chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said he would contest the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election from a constituency in Madhesh and represent the Madheshi people's voice in the CA.

Speaking at an interaction on 'Nation in crisis: Due to lack of leader or policy' organized by ABC Television here today, he said he was for representing Madesh to make relation of people between the Madesh hills more cordial.

Chairman Dahal claimed that the past regressive state power had made big discrimination against the Madeshi people.  He added that building bases for the construction of New Nepal he would represent madesh.

Former Prime Minister Dahal claimed that bringing new constitution for the nation was the present need and urged one and all to work sincerely for succeeding the CA election to be held on November 19.

Chairman Dahal said the biggest court was the people's court that the political parties should not fear to go to people to get fresh mandate.

He urged the agitating political parties to join the election process as it was only means to way-out the nation from the current political impasse. Dahal also expressed his hope that all political parties would join the election process. RSS
