31 small irrigation projects constructed in myagdi, 167 hectares irrigated

Babiyachaur, Myagdi, July 30: The District Agriculture Development Office, Myagdi, has constructed some 31 irrigation projects this year.
Some 200 hectares of land has been irrigated through 30 constructed in 23 VDCs and one cooperative irrigation project.

One Cooperatives Irrigation Project was constructed at a cost of Rs. 270,000 in Ratnechaur-6 and 7 and others are small irrigation projects, said Office Technical Assistant Hem Sharma Tiwari.

He said these projects will irrigate 167 hectares and benefit 1,119 farmers.
Rs 1,520,000 has been invested in the irrigation projects through the Food Crisis Mitigation Programme and Cooperative Farming, Small Irrigation Programme, said Prem Raj Poudel, accountant of the District Agriculture Development Office.

Three projects have been constructed in Ghatan, two in Jyamrukkot, Takam, Bhakimli, Beg, Barangja and Devishthan and one each in Pilple, Dana, Singa, Ghar, and other VDCs, said Tiwari. RSS
