67th birth anniversary of former King Shah celebrated

Kathmandu, July 7: The Civil Main Celebration Committee facilitated and presented gifts to former King Gyanendra Shah on the occasion of his 67th birth anniversary here today.

Well wishers of Shah reached Nirmal Niwas dressed in various costumes and with cultural pageantry. They also presented bouquets and gifts to Shah.

Wishing for good health and long-life, the Committee gifted statues of Pashupatinath and Buddha to Shah.

Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Ratna Kamal Baidhya, said that importance of the monarchy has increased for solidarity and harmony among various caste and communities in Nepal.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Kamal Thapa reached Nirmal Niwas and extended best wishes to the former King. RSS
