Nepalgunj, July 2: Dalit women in Banke district have increasingly shown willingness to get involved in domestic business these days.
They have come up with keen interest to get into business after they obtained different vocational training imparted by organizations working for Dalit rights.
They are mostly engaged in poultry farming, mobile shop, vegetable farming, sewing and cutting and knitting and are generating income to sustain livelihood on their own.
The technical and vocational trainings have inspired and empowered them much to choose right path, said a women who attended such training and started a business.
It has brought consciousness among the Dalit community people, which is visible through their willingness to obtain marriage registration, birth certificate and other works that facilitate to get service3s provided by the state. RSS'
