Rukum, July 2: Political parties who disagreed throughout the year on development issues have joined hands just as the Fiscal Year is about to come to an end.The political party leaders in Bijeswori VDC of the district were busy blaming one another in the development works carried out in the district but came together when only 13 days are left for the fiscal year to end, and also shared the development projects among themselves.
As a result, the development projects that remained stalled due to objection by one or the other political parties are now taking full speed towards completion. The UCPN (Maoist), the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML have also assumed leadership of completing the drinking water, rural agro road and irrigation projects.
Likewise, the CPN-Maoist and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party representatives have been offered the post of Vice-chair of the construction committees.Meanwhile, the locals here were taken by surprise of the parties coming together all of a sudden that were not even accepting the existence of one another sometime ago.
Even the village council has failed to meet for months due to disagreement among the political parties while funds remained unused. The locals have hoped that development of Bijeswaori VDC could accelerate if this agreement among the political parties continued ahead. RSS
