Rolpa, July 7: A huge amount of explosive materials found at Thurpalek cave in Gairigaun -6 in western part of Rolpa district has been disposed of on Saturday.
The explosive materials were found hidden in the cave on Tuesday. As many as 265 pieces of socket bombs, two sacks of raw materials for socket bombs, five pieces of cupper pipe and 650 pieces of aluminum pipes were found in the cave.
The materials were destroyed by a three member bomb disposal team led by Lieutenant Ram Hari Shrestha who came from Dang, Tulsipur.
It is noted that the police had to wait for five days to dispose of the materials for lack of skilled manpower and equipments, said police. RSS
