Kathmandu, July 9: A farewell programme was organised at the National Sports Council (NSC) today to bid farewell to the Nepali team participating in the World Taekwondo Championship.
The Championship is going to be organised from July 15 to 21 in Mexico.
On the occasion, NSC Member-Secretary Yubraj Lama, urged the athletes to come back victorious.
Gyani Chunara is competing in 57 kg women's category, Arun Adhikari in 54 kg men's category and Ranjan Shrestha in 58 kg men's category in the Championship.
Olympian and Taekwondo coach Deepak Bista is also part of the team.Chairman of Nepal Taekwondo Association Prakash Shamsher Rana is also leaving to take part in the general assembly of the Asian Taekwondo Union to be held in Mexico. Athletes from over 200 countries are participating in the Championship. RSS
