Kathmandu, July 3: Former Finance Ministers have suggested the Government to bring a full-size budget.

Speaking at an interaction on budget in the capital on Wednesday, they however said that the full budget should not bring any extensive changes in the parameter of taxing, and also should not include new and publicity-oriented programmes.

They also emphasized on the need to give priority to agriculture and infrastructure development, continue with the three-pillar policy and promote hydropower projects that produce power during the winter among others.

Those expressing their views at the programme were former Finance Ministers Bharat Mohan Adhikari, Barshaman Pun, Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani and Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat.

Advisor to the Ministry of Finance Dr Chiranjibi Nepal on the occasion made it clear that the government would bring a full budget as all the political parties are in favour of it. RSS
