four houses demolished due to floods in dang

Dang, July 9: As many as four houses were demolished due to flood water from the Babai stream following incessant rainfall in Dang district last night.

According to Dasharath Ghimire, a local resident, water from the flooded stream entered the settlement all of a sudden in the night and demolished the houses of Ganesh Chaudhary, Chhabu Chaudhary, Khagu Chaudhary and Piru Chaudhary.


All food grains, dishes, and other belongings in the houses were also washed away by the flood water. No human casualty has been reported in the incident.
All the flood victims are landless squatters and had been living in the land provided by the government. RSS
