Kathmandu, July 30: A discussion programme was held on Monday on the issue of law and order with the chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, regional administrators and regional security chiefs of all the five development regions in the presence of Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire.
On the occasion, security chiefs of the five development regions and Kathmandu valley presented the state of law and order.
At the programme, law and order situation was reviewed and analyzed, and discussion was held on preparations for law and order to hold the upcoming CA election in a peaceful and fear-free manner.
On the occasion, Home Minister Ghimire directed the security chiefs and officials to create a trustworthy environment by making an integrated security plan for election in the district and regional levels to hold the election in a free and impartial manner.
He also directed to foil crimes like abductions, charging of ransom, extortions and hooliganism, and to honour human rights.
At the programme Home Secretary Nawin Kumar Ghimire and chiefs of three security bodies also expressed their views, the Home Ministry said. RSS
