Indian Minister for External Affairs Khurshid Arrives

Kathmandu, July 9: Indian Minister for External Affairs Salman Khurshid has arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu this morning.

Talking to journalists in brief upon his arrival at the airport, Minister Khurshid imparted a message that India was ready to extend cooperation and support to Nepal's bid for holding Constituent Assembly (CA) election in a free and fair manner.

The visiting Indian Minister made it clear that India will never dictate any political parties and the government of Nepal to do this and that, adding it is the aspiration of Nepali people that makes sense in the internal affairs of Nepal.

Minister Khurshid further said that India always wants to see Nepal with lasting peace followed by socio-economic development.

Noting that there is multi-dimensional relation between Nepal and India, he pledged to extend continuous cooperation for the development of Nepal.

Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad, senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and high-placed officials at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu had welcomed Minister Khurshid at the airport. RSS
