Myagdi, July 4: Farmers is Myagdi district have been attracted towards Kiwi farming here of late.

The farmers in ward no 3 and 4 of Ramche VDC in the district have planted around 50 saplings of Kiwi in coordination with the District Agricultural Development Office, Myagdi this year, said Bhakta Bahadur Purja, a local.

  Prior to this, as many as 10 Kiwi saplings were planted and they have already started bearing fruit, added Purja.

Kiwi that is planted at an altitude of 1,200 to 2,500 meters is sold at Rs. 400 per kg in the local market, said Basanta Kumar Shrestha, a Senior Agriculture Development Officer. RSS
