Kathmandu, July 2: Nepal's Rabin Adhikari won a silver medal in the 13th International Sports For all Taekwando Championship held in Jeju-do of South Korea.

Adhikari lost to his Korean opponent by 7-10 in the final of below 56 kg category to win a silver medal. Earlier, he defeated his opponents from Spain, Malaysia and China to reach the final, according to General Secretary of Taekwando Union-Nepal Raj Kumar Karki.

The final match was held on Monday.

Likewise, in the under 46 kg group, Tara Parajuli also lost to her opponent from the host country in the semi-final, thus satisfying with a bronze medal. Tara had defeated her opponents from Malaysia and the USA to reach the semi-final.

The third competitor from Nepal, Krishna Shrestha however failed to win any medal after loosing to a Korean athlete in the less than 60 kg category. RSS
