One missing while trying to catch floating boat

Ratnanagar, Chitwan, July 30: One-person of Kabilas in Chitwan district has gone missing in the river while trying to catch a boat swept away by Trishuli river.

Other two have been successful in swimming across the river.

Roshan Gurung, 17, of Kerabari of Kabilas VDC- 5 was missing as he entered the river to catch the boat at 6:00 pm Monday, said police.

  Sandip Gurung, 20, and Ishwor Gurung,16, who accompanied him were successful in coming to shore one km downstream, said police.  They had entered the river near Bhorle at Kabilas.

They were flown away as the river was swollen. Gurung was not found all night and was searched by police in the morning, said Head Constable Homnath Banskota of the Jugedi Police Post, Chitwan.

Earlier, five children of Bharatpur had gone missing, while swimming at Kurintar of Chitwan. Of them, although bodies of two were found situation of others is unknown. RSS
