Jumla, July 5: Property worth Rs. 60 million has been destroyed in different VDCs in Jumla district due to incessant rainfall from July 15.
As many as 2,085 cattle died as well as crops planted in 597 ropani of land were destroyed due to the rain, according to the Natural Disaster Damaged Assessment Committee.
Coordinator of the Committee, Dr. Rameshraj Gyawali said that cattle worth Rs. 44.158 million perished, crops worth Rs. 12.655 million were destroyed and physical infrastructure worth Rs. 5.740 million were destroyed by the rain in different VDCs including Kudari, Tamti, Hanku, Lamra, Kartikswami and Raralihi.
