Nepalgunj, July 4: The District Disaster Rescue and Relief Committee, Banke has provided relief materials including clothes and food grains to the flood victims of Rajapur area in the district.
According to the Assistant Chief District Officer Chakra Pani Pandey, relief materials worth 207 thousand rupees collected and provided by KL Dugar, the Kohalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Truck Entrepreneurs Association, Lions Club, Nepalgunj Municipality and different individual donors have been provided to the floods victims through the District Administration Office.
Some 2,017 locals of 11 VDCs in the area were affected by the flash flood triggered by heavy rains two weeks back.
Likewise, 452 families in the area have been displaced, 216 houses completely destroyed and 877 houses partly destroyed by the floods in the area, said assistant CDO Pandey. RSS
