Dhankuta, July 4: The locals of Teliya VDC Ward Nos. 2 and 3 in the district are compelled to live in darkness after the damage of an electric transformer for a month.
Some 70 households are badly affected as power supply to the VDC has been cut off due to the damage to the transformer. Though the damaged transformer was removed by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Dhankuta chapter for maintenance, it has not been repaired yet, locals complained.
NEA, Dhankuta has said that the transformer has been sent to Biratnagar for repair and it would take a week for restoring regular power supply. RSS
