Pyuthan, July 11: Two persons died after their car was buried by a landslide at Lamachaur of Gothibang VDC-2 in Pyuthan district while they were heading towards Rolpa from Dang, today.
Devraj Acharya of Libang, Rolpa, an engineer at the District Development Committee Office, died on the spot, according to District Police Office, Pyuthan.
Similarly, another official at the DDC, Lok Bahadur Khadka, died while he was undergoing treatment at a local hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ishwor Karki.
DSP Karki said the vehicle (Ba 1 Jha 8823) was buried while it was parked as the road ahead of it was swept away by the landslide.
Likewise, Bhuwan Shrestha, one of the passengers in the car sustained injuries while car driver Subash Bista remained unhurt.
Shrestha is undergoing treatment in District Hospital, Bijuwar. RSS
