Mugu, July 4: People in Kimri village in the eastern part of Mugu District are having hard time fetching drinking water after the water supply pipe there got damaged.

With no water supply to the village, the locals now have to slog for two hours to fetch drinking water from a source that is three kilometers away. Some 300 families in the village have been facing shortage of water.

Kimri village lies at a distance of two days' trek from the district headquarters, Gamgadhi.

The drinking water project was constructed at Kimri village six years ago with the financial assistance of the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Fund and the technical assistance of SAPROS, an NGO. RSS
