Youths join forces to develop their area into tourism hub

Birgunj, July 24: Local youths from Subarnapur and Thori villages in Parsa district are working together to developing their area into a tourism destination. These two villages in the district are rich in natural beauty and biodiversity.

They are actively working to develop their area into a visitors' choice and have also devised a plan to draw both domestic and foreign tourists.

In this connection, the youths have formed the Society for Chure Eco-tourism and Biodiversity Conservation to develop ecotourism in the area that lies to the north of the Parsa Wildlife Reserve.

The villagers have also lent their full support to the campaign of developing ecotourism in the area. They have pledged their support for keeping the villages clean and constructing the infrastructures.

Locals say that this area has immense tourism potentials from the natural, geographical and cultural point of view. The society is also thinking of starting home stay services to the tourists.

The area lies some 68 kilometres north of Birgunj, the headquarters of Parsa district. RSS
