Acute Shortage of Anti- Rabies Vaccine in Bheri Hospital

Nepalgunj, Aug. 4: The people suffering dog bite are hit hard after an acute shortage of anti-rabies vaccines in Bheri Zonal Hospital, Banke.

The patients are compelled to buy the vaccine at high cost after the hospital lacked it which is provided free of cost, complained the victims.

The stock of the vaccines is emptied at the regional medial store too, it is learnt.

The Bheri Zonal Hospital and Sub-Regional Hospital, Dang, have the highest number of consumers of the anti-rabies vaccine in the Midwestern region.

Some 500 anti-rabies vaccines were provided to the Bheri Zonal Hospital but some 2,000 rabies patient visit the hospital for treatment, said the hospital. RSS
