Longest Suspension Bridge Construction at final stage

Baglung, Aug. 6: The construction of the longest suspension bridge in Baglung district has almost come to a final stage.

The bridge construction is aimed to link more than a dozen VDCs to the district headquarters. A 230-meter-long bridge is under construction on the joint investment of Government of Nepal and Swiss Government.

The Swiss government had provided materials used for the construction of suspension bridge while Nepal government had channelized Rs. 8 million for the purpose, it is learnt.

The construction work had started last year and is to be completed within a month, according to the contractor company, Adhikari BLT Millennium Jevi Construction Nepalgunj, sources.

Locals of Tityang, Bhakunde, Sigana, Raydanda and Damake will directly benefit from the bridge construction.

It is expected to make easier the supply of local produce to the market. RSS
