Nepal Telecom Extending Service in Khotang

Khotang, Aug. 4: Nepal Telecom, Khotang Branch Office has been preparing for the extension of landline and mobile phone services in different parts of the district. The services are being extended in Chisapani, Khotangbazaar, Halesi, Buipa, Jalapa and Aiselukharka and it would be completed within this fiscal year, said Bharoshi Shah, Chief at the Branch Office.

For the extension of services, the Office is setting up towers for Sky and Namaste mobile at Chhitapokhari and Mahure. Similarly, feasibility study is on in different six places, Shah added.

Wires for the landline telephone will be setup underground from Tiktel to Salleri Tole.

According to the statistics, some 612 sets of landline telephone and some 150,000 mobile phones are in operation in the district. RSS
