Kathmandu, Aug. 4: A senior critic, writer and linguist Professor Dr Basu Dev Tripathi has come up with a new book Madhukunj, an anthology of poems and lyrics.
Rastrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire released the book at a programme organized the White House College in the capital city on Saturday.
The book has covered the writer's literary journey and his vision towards literature, criticism, arts, culture, nation and political issues.
Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, Bairagi Kaila, Vice-Chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti, Professors Rajendra Subedi and Mahadev Awasthi commented the book and the contribution of Professor Tripathi in Nepali language, literature and criticism.
Likewise, poets Bhanubhakta Pokharel, Deependra Adhikari and Bhagbat Acharya had recited the poems from the released book.
The book was released on the occasion of Premdutta Goma Tripathi Award distribution ceremony. The award was set up by the Professor Tripathi in memory of his parents.
Professors Shreedhar Lohani, Rameshwor Adhikari, Beni Madhav Dhakal, Shankar Raj Pathak, and poet Prava Bhattarai and media person Phulmn Bal were conferred the awards for their contribution in different fields.
The book by Professor Tripathi is published by Dovan Literary Association. RSS
